The Swedish based maxit Group, a company within the German HeidelbergCement Group and the Danish company J-F. Lemvigh-Müller Holding A/S, have finalised the signing of an agreement regarding the maxit Group acquisition of the Danish companies Dansk Leca A/S and Leca Trading & Concession A/S, both of which are active within the production and distribution of lightweight aggregates (LWA), LWA blocks and concrete blocks.
The agreement comprises the acquisition of all the shares in the two companies, including plants, warehouses, sales offices and employees, as well as ownership of the LECA® trademark.
Dansk Leca manufactures LWA, LWA blocks and concrete blocks at two plants in Denmark. Annual production amounts to some 560 Thm3. Leca Trading & Concession is the owner of the LECA® trademark. The use of the trademark is sublicensed to licensees in various countries.

The transfer of the Dansk Leca and Leca Trading & Concession business is conditioned approval from the competition authorities in Germany.
